Easy Fluffy Delicious Waffle Recipe Without Eggs
If you find yourself with a craving for a piping hot stack of waffles but you don't have any eggs in your refrigerator, then you may think that you are in a bit of a pickle. There's nothing fun about driving to the grocery store in your pajamas so there must be another solution.
Ever found yourself wondering “can you make waffles without eggs?” The short and simple answer is yes! Take a peek at the following egg-less waffle recipe and follow it carefully for the best results.
- 2 cups of self-raising flour
- ½ a cup of sugar
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 2 tsps of baking powder
- 1 pinch of sea salt
- 2 cups of buttermilk
- 4 tbsps of melted butter
- 2 tsps of vanilla extract
Using a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
Add the wet ingredients to the bowl and whisk together (a few lumps left behind are ok).
Turn the waffle iron on to a medium heat and grease it with butter. When the butter has started to sizzle you will be ready to add the waffle batter. Spoon the batter into the waffle iron and cook until the edges are firm and crispy and the waffle has turned golden brown.
Repeat these steps until you have used up all of the batter in the bowl.
Enjoy the waffles together with your favorite toppings.
