How to Make Tuna Salad

The kids will be home in next to no time, hungry and ready for a snack that will tie them over until dinner. I get it, you don’t want them reaching for the snack draw every teatime. Poised and ready to give this brand new tuna salad recipe a shot? The best thing about this recipe is that it will take as little as 15 minutes to prepare everything and of course, there is no cooking time. You can do it with your eyes shut! The following is a list of all the ingredients you need to make this easy tuna salad recipe.

Ingredients

  • Two 6 ounce cans of white meat tuna packed in water drained
  • 2 tbsp of diced celery
  • 2 tbsp of diced red onion soak it in cold water for 5 minutes and then drain
  • 1 tsp of parsley chopped fine
  • cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard or whole-grain mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 to 2 tsp of sweet pickle relish

Instructions

  • Take out a small mixing bowl, (use one that you will want to serve the salad in to save time on cleaning up) and scoop your drained tuna into it, breaking it up into smaller pieces with a fork.
  • Add the celery, onion and parsley into the bowl and mix it all together in the bowl.
  • Next add mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish and Dijon mustard or whole-grain mustard to the bowl and mix together again, making sure the mayonnaise is evenly spread over the salad.
  • Then season with your desired amount of salt and pepper and drizzle over lemon juice to taste.
  • Serve and watch the hungry bellies come running to you! It’s a doddle!
